Warren Bwogi is a second-year Software Engineering student at Conestoga College, currently in co-op placements that run from May 2025 through August 2026. He brings a solid foundation in programming, a growing track record across research and development roles, and a deep interest in how technology can protect vulnerable populations.

Warren describes himself as someone who thrives in collaborative environments, grasps ideas quickly, and communicates effectively with team members and clients at all levels qualities that align closely with ObserIQ’s cross-sector work with municipalities, institutions, and community partners.

Experience

Warren’s professional path spans research institutions, applied software development, and client-facing work:

  • Canadian Institute for Safety, Wellness, and Performance (CISWP): Research Assistant (Jan 2026 – present). Data analysis and Python-based research on workplace safety, wellness, and performance outcomes.
  • SMART Centre: Software Developer (Sep – Dec 2025). Built applied software using Python and OpenCV, with exposure to computer vision pipelines.
  • High Level Media Sports: Software Developer Co-op (May – Sep 2025) and IT Assistant (Apr 2024 – Sep 2025). Front-end engineering with JavaScript and HTML alongside general IT support.
  • Masedo Company (Kampala, Uganda): Salesperson (Nov 2022 – Dec 2023). Sold company products, provided customer support, and trained new employees.
